There are many types of exercises and workouts out there, but which are the best fat burning exercises? Here at The Fat Burning Pro’s, we don’t really like to pin-point one specific exercise but rather recommend that you do what you enjoy best.
There are so many types of exercises out there that done for the right duration and intensity will be great fat burning exercises. For example, the simple leisurely activity of rowing a boat burns a great deal of calories if done for 30 or more minutes. Swimming also burns plenty of calories.
The key to workouts for fat loss is not intensity of the individual exercise, but the overall weekly exercise accumulation.
If you go hiking up a 14,000 foot tall mountain you’ll probably burn thousands of calories. However, if this is the only exercise you do in two weeks, it won’t be very effective. It’s way more effective to hike for an hour per day for two weeks. That could easily be the only thing you need to successfully burn a few pounds every week. And your physical fitness level will go off the charts!
Cardiovascular Training
In general, it’s a good idea to do cardiovascular training around four days per week for around 30 minutes at least. This will be a great tool for fat burning as you burn fat while exercising this way.
Good cardio workouts for fat loss include: running, hiking, jump-rope, skiing, swimming, biking, soccer, kayaking, rowing, and many others.
Strength Resistance Training
What one should also add to their fat burning exercises is some sort of strength or resistance training a few days a week. Although this anaerobic type of workout doesn’t burn fat directly, from the torn muscles that happen while working out, the body burns many calories for the next few days rebuilding these muscles.
We recommend starting out with a few days a week of intense weight lifting workouts for fat loss. You should strive for full body workouts that work large muscles and smaller muscles throughout your body. This will require many extra calories from your body to rebuild and will often result in more calories burned.
Combining both types of anaerobic and aerobic cardio exercises together is the best workout for fat loss. For more info be sure to check out this video about some highly effective workout routines!
